Dr Pienaar is committed to providing safe maternal care which is also baby and mother friendly. As such she is meticulous in following protocols and guidelines and she is also the leading obstetrician in organizing the “Better Obs programme” in Wilgers Hospital. This programme was installed by the South African Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists to improve care to pregnant mothers. Dr Pienaar restricts intake of pregnant patients per month in order to allow for normal labour which could sometimes be exhausting and time consuming. She also cooperates with a group of accredited midwives.
